Don’t hide your smile any longer! If your teeth are stained and yellow and you’re embarrassed, you should listen! In this day and age, there exists limitless options for removing discoloration and returning the teeth to their intended shine. Whether you decide on an advanced treatment procedure in a dental office or if you pick up a drug store whitening product, there is surely a method to suit your needs and give you the bright smile you have always wanted.

This will not be as harmful on your teeth as other whitening teeth strips out there. The easiest way to do this is to gargle the hydrogen peroxide while you’re taking a shower, holding it in your mouth only and taking care not to swallow. Use hydrogen peroxide around once or twice a week.

We all know that citrus fruits are high in Vitamin C, but did you know they can also contribute to whiter teeth? Try using the back of the peel from a lemon or orange to rub your teeth with to get them to shine. For better results, add a little salt to the lemon or orange peel.

Brush first before applying home whitening products. Whitening of the teeth items work their best when everything is clean, unlike hair dyes. Dirty teeth have food and plaque buildups that can result in an uneven shade if a whitening product is used on them. In order to avoid creating spots and uneven whiteness, it is important to brush and floss to remove these buildups prior to whitening.

Prior to starting your whitening teeth regimen, you should consult with a dentist if you suffer from gum disease, or have any cavities. Use caution when whitening your teeth. Talk with your dentist about whether or not whitening of the teeth is a good option for you.

When embarking on a tooth whitening regime, remember that your own natural teeth are the only ones that will benefit from the procedure. Whiteners are ineffective on artificial surfaces. The types of artificial surfaces include crowns, veneers, implants and fillings. Using traditional whitening teeth products on artificial teeth will often yield no results and you’ll be stuck with the same discoloration you had before you started.

No one should have discolored teeth when there are so many whitening options out there. There are a number of options available, including professional whitening treatments and toothpaste. Lots of these options are affordable and do not require much time to pass before results are noticeable.
